We have some new "upgrades" to the Trailer Toad that we have been trying to get from Dexter Axle for quite a while. We also have a new main chassis design change that will let you upgrade from a 3500HD to a 5000SD, in the event that you get a bigger, heavier trailer, by just swapping out the 3500 axle for a 5000 axle.

What does the Trailer Toad do to benefit your towing?

I will try to keep this brief and to the point: The Trailer Toad is designed to carry the tongue weight of the trailer. It will put ZERO Tongue Weight on the tow vehicle. Yes, you can back up with the Trailer Toad just like you did before as there is only one trailer ball, on the rear of the Trailer Toad. The axle of the Trailer Toad is a Dexter torsion axle like most trailers use. It is built with a center, vertical spindle so it "steers or follows" you as you turn, no scuffing of the tires. We are the only company building an "auxiliary axle" or a "dolly" for tag-style" trailers. Designed for trailers that weigh 8,000-lbs all the way to 22,000-lbs. Our US Patent protects both you and us from cheap knock-offs and inferior workmanship. A weight distribution hitch, supplied by owner or purchased from us, is required to complete installation.
